The Function Of The Balancing Valve On The Motor Of The Excavator Log Grapple

To achieve 360° rotation function, the excavator log grapple is inseparable from the function of the rotary motor, so is there a balance valve on your log grapple  motor? What does the balance valve do?

No.1:One-way function: Direction of the hydraulic system It allows the flow of fluid to pass through at very low pressure into the hydraulic actuator (cylinder or gripper motor) for rotation. Then lock the loop, keeping the load position unchanged. This is also the reason why the excavator log grapple can stop and keep its position still after the snatch. There is no balance valve, does your log grapple still rotate left and right after stopping to rotate?

No.2:Liquid control throttling function: By controlling the pressure of the pressure port to control the opening amount of throttling, so that the load according to the required speed of steady decline. Generally, the control pressure port is connected with the hydraulic cylinder or the motor, (rotation direction) the oil inlet, and the change of pressure is used to control the opening of the throttle valve, so as to control the falling speed. This is the reason for the high rotational speed and high torque of the log grapple, do you find that your log grapple rotates slowly and weakly without a balance valve?

No.3:Overflow function: When the access port exceeds the set pressure due to external force or expansion, the overflow function is opened to avoid the hydraulic motor or oil seal over pressure damage, which is the reason why the log grapple motor is durable and not easy to break, because there is the overload protection function of the balance valve.
